A weekend of firsts - 1

I fancied a takeaway on Satuday night. I fancied a specific type of food from a specific place. But by the time we sat down to order they seemed to have dropped off the delivery website - problems in the restaurant perhaps? Too busy? Nevermind - we found another that we had been avoiding as they had previously delivered everything in black plastic containers which can't be recycled here. We know that the food is good there though so crossed our fingers and ordered and luckily the plastic, as it still was, is a colour that can be recycled and a design that is not only great for the food delivered but will get reused as much as we can before being recycled. Table 17 go Kamado!

(Not not a misspell of Commando but the egg style barbeque.) When we created this blog we planned to rave (or rant) about our eating experiences. Sadly we lost our mojo just after I set it up and just about the time we got it back...lockdown happened! So, we can't blog about going out but I can talk about the meals we're enjoying whilst we can't. The local little German supermaket had an offer on a few weeks ago - a mini Kamado barbecue at half price and given that the original price was way below the branded versions to begin with it seemed too good to miss. I popped off to the shop at opening time and joined the queue in the early morning sunshine. Good thing that I did as the store only had two delivered and I got the last one.
